About Dr. Scott

Dr. Timpanelli earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in 1997 and practiced in Connecticut and Mississippi before opening Timpanelli Chiropractic in Greenville SC. in 2006. He holds a BS in Engineering Technology from Central Connecticut State University, serves on the board of The Chiropractic Trust, and is a former Adjunct Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Housatonic Community College and Greenville Technical College.

He was inspired to become a Chiropractor after learning about Chinese health, healing and Toaist philosophy. " I was 27 years young at the time and a senior buyer at a major aircraft engine plant when I realized I wanted to be in a field that I loved and for which I had a passion," Dr. Timpanelli explains, " I was immediately attracted to the philosophy that the body is self-healing and self-regulating entity, and that the nerve system, which is protected by the spinal column, runs and controls everything throughout the body."

Dr. Timpanelli has a strong foundation in Chinese martial arts, holding a black belt in Shaolin Kenpo and a brown belt in Japanese Ju Jit-su. He is an Assistant Tai Chi Instructor at Greenville Tai Chi and the founder at Upstate Tai Chi. He is also interested in the Chinese healing arts, nutrition, hiking, crypto, and baseball card and comic book collecting. He loves living and practicing in Greenville and looks forward to serving the community for many years to come.

Two Ways to Grow: Add or Shed?
Video: Hey Doc.. Once I start chiropractic can I ever stop? "There are two ways to grow: by adding or by shedding. Do you need to add something or do you need to shed something?"

Staying well, being the best we can be takes effort, time , and some money. It also requires self awareness.

Its up to you to determine what needs to stay and what needs to go. We always think of ADDING to our routines. How about shedding or eliminating what is not good for us or is not working. Shed (eliminate) activities that don't move the needle forward! Add activities that can pay off exponentially.

Adding the habit of consistent spinal checks will improve the quality of your LIFE! I cannot predict exactly in what area, but logic and 'how your body' works confirm it. When you take care of the structure (backbones) that protect the neural highway system (nerve system) of the body... great things can happen!

Investment: the time, energy, or matter spent in the hope of future benefits What is your most important Investment? YOU!
We show up for the people we love and what's important in our life when we are functioning the at our best (physically, mentally).

But what about the kids?

Investing in yourself will only make YOU better for your kids, your partner and any other responsibilities you have... and of course I am not talking about neglecting your family in pursuit of your own gain.
However, we don't think twice about investing in retirement, the car, the house, hobbies, vacations, etc.

You can have (2) two cars, a house, a boat but we only have ONE body -- that cannot be replaced.

Got Tension? Conisistency = Strength
Tension: Mental or Emotional Strain, a state of being stretched tight.

Got Tension? Who doesn't!

It's part of life..

Here is an analogy. . . think of spinal misalignments( vertebral subluxations) as AREAS of tension in your spine.....

Most of this you will not feel and cannot feel.

These areas of spinal tension are causing interference in the body's nerve system or communication system. Sure, you can live with it, however... the quality of your life will take a hit in some way. The adjustment helps to correct this tension (subluxation). . . allowing YOU to function as best as possible! And remember..

We are always progressing!

Either forward or backward. If I consistently eat fast food and don't move much.. I may progress backward toward (weaker)

If I consistently watch what I eat, move well, rest well. ... I will make progress, even if its not noticeable.(stronger)

It's the same with adjustment.

Consistently keeping the spine clear of nerve interference (Subluxation) and getting adjusted weekly or at least a few times a month =>builds strength in the body! . . . .And strength builds resilience, and resilience keeps us - bouncing back from the challenges we face on a daily basis.
